Not sure if this was discussed before but just curious, are they putting in an exit or entrance on North Park right before the traffic light coming into Kingwood?

When I lived in NJ it was horrible in front of the car washes with the Armoral and soap.  Made the roads so slick.  That part of the road is horrible as it is.  I was going so slow one time and slide right thru the traffic light.  The guy in front of me did the same thing and was fish tailing all over the place and he pulled into the propane place and I was able to correct myself and keep going.  Thank god it was a Saturday morning at 7:30 and noone was coming off Russell Palmer at the time because that could have turned into a bad accident.  We had just dropped my DH's car off for service so we were all in the car and he was screaming at me to stop but the car just kept going.  Nothing I could do about it. 4951

Why are the putting this entrance or exit off of North Park anyway:  Northpark is so congested that all is going to do is add more of a back up.  They should not allow any turns into business so close to a light.  This is in Montgomery county which does alot of interesting things, but it will impact our commutes into and out of Kingwood.   4951

It is a business strategy, they didn't have a legit entrance off northpark and I am willing to bet they get a little more business.You think the entrance they share with Napa is only Napa's entrance but I bet a lot of people don't realize its connected. 4951

Not sure, but the idiots blocked that entire lane yesterday around 4:00 pm. Traffic was backed up to railroad tracks.
@mm4731:
My thought exactly.  I was sitting in that also wondering what all the traffic was for.  Were they are putting it is only like 2 car lengths from the light.  Ridiculous. 4951

So what's the issue?

 Only issue I have is that they cut down some nice mature trees for more concrete...

@mm4731: Is that why I was sitting in traffic, good to know! But they were gone from there by the time I got to Russell Palmer. Are they putting in an entrance? I thought they were just fixing the fence.

Well guess Montgomery County feels this is a better way to increase tax revenue.  The tree doesn't pay much to them whereas the business generates jobs and taxes.

@Stealth83: True enough...  gotta get those dollars.  I hope that car wash is better with new management.

Anyone else have a problem with how bright the LED sign is at night. It is blinding bright. I think they should tone it down a bit. This might cause an accident in the future. 4951
