We have a Volvo that has been a money pit for years, we are only keeping it now so we can trade it in for something for Ds soon. Talked to our independent Volvo repair guy and he said this is typical with European cars, that as they age (100k ish miles) they will pretty regularly need expensive fixes.He said that generally Japanese run longer problem free, before needing big repairs. I like driving it, but I wouldn't buy a Volvo again, I would lease for 3 years and be done with it Â
