@djohn78:  Time to ditch it for a new one.  They talk to you now, so they can be a friend.  They tell you "hello" and "goodbye,"  will heat and cool your butt and back as you drive, give you verbal directions, and will also take voice commands without back talk.

@djohn78:   Then you must not be talking to it right.  You probably got a "female" car.  You have to treat it right or it gives you the mechanical equivalent of a "cold shoulder".

Take it back to the dealer and tell them to fix it. They should give you a loaner. 4951

I'm 63 years old and have had Fords and Lincolns for my entire adult life.....good cars each and every one of them....sounds to me like you either got a "lemon".....or a BAD MECHANIC.....if it's only a 2012 why doesn't it have any warranty left?...something odd here..... 4951

@magnoliamam: I also have a 2012 POS Ford with all the bells & whistle, never again. When you commute for work you go thru the 36,000 mile/ 3 yr. warranty real quick... Sunday I went to the grocer came back to my car, put the key in & it wouldn't start, long story short - something in the computer, ignition got thrown off and it had to be reset! Thank Gawd it didn't break the bank, but just another thing in the list of garbage.  My brother bought his wife a Lincoln SUV MKZ (I think that's the letters) That was a lemon. Ford did replace it with the newer year model.  As my husband says fix or repair daily..............

thegoodwife -I commuted back and forth to work for 42 years so I know about mileage and all.....sorry you think that about a Ford, but to each his own - we're all entitled to have our opinions.and Lincolns come with way more than a 36,000/3 year warranty and Fords used to also......now I wouldn't buy one of the "toy" Ford models so I'll clarify my original statement - but full sizes and Town Cars have always been my choice and will always be, unless someone wants to buy me another luxury model.......have a good day 4951

When growing up, my parents were Oldsmobile and Chevrolet (truck) people.  My first car was an Oldsmobile Cutlass.  When we married, my wife had a Ford Pinto. After I graduated and started working, we traded her Pinto in for a Toyota Corolla.  She loved that car.  When it came time to replace my Cutlass, I bought a four-door Oldsmobile.  That car was a genuine POS!  We always took the Corolla everywhere we went and left the Oldsmobile parked in our driveway.  Finally, I took it and traded it in on another Corolla and we've been Toyota fans since.Once we were expecting our second child, we realized that we needed more room and looked at vans.  We didn't care for the van Toyota had at that time, so we bought a Chevrolet Astro LS van.  We had it less than a week before we had to bring it in.  They had to replace the transmission.  Other than that, the van was OK.  We had two Astro vans while the kids grew up.  After they were too old to go on vacations with us, my wife went to a Toyota Avalon and loves it.I had two Toyota pickups (each 10+ years) until I traded the second one for a new 1998 Ford Mustang.  The plan was to drive it while I paid it off and then give it to my son.  I then bought a Toyota Matrix and drove it until I gave it to my daughter.  Now, I'm back to a Toyota Tacoma truck. Now that my wife and I do almost all of our driving together, our next vehicle will be a single medium size SUV.  We will look closely at Toyota, but will also consider other manufacturers.  Any manufacturer can have a lemon, I just think the chances are less with a Toyota. 4951
