wondering did you grow up with anyone who became well-known? Who is the most famous person to come out of your high school?not sure if this counts but i did spend about 3 weeks at the convent with Maria Rainer before backpacking across Europe.  4951

I didn't grow up with anyone that became famous, nor have I met many "celebrities". I have been starstruck once though! 4951

Huffman's population was reported as fifty from the 1940s through the early 1990s. Among the structures remaining at or near Huffman in the 1980s were a church, an abandoned railroad station, and two schools, including the Huffman School at the nearby Lakewood Heights development.

I was in Earl Campbell's bedroom in 1980. Parents moved to Atascocita in 79. Left behind every friend I had ever known in Sharpstown. Skipped school and headed back to Sharpstown H.S. with 2 male friends in tow and picked up one of my girlfriends. Told them we knew where Campbell lived and they dared us to knock on door and get autograph. We did and his brother answered door and took us back to Earl's bedroom where he was signing pictures. He did not give us signed pics but did give us his autograph. He was very nice. Got home and got grounded for skipping school. Mom tossed autograph. We still talk about it to this day. And may I add, the Houston Oilers with Bum Phillips were the greatest football team Houston has ever had! Luv Ya Blue! 4951

@BooBear: my life partner went to a k-12 in a small town in Georgia...it was nothing for the 5th graders to be dating the 11th graders...of course some of those 5th graders were older than the 11th graders...

I met Vince Vaughn when he was in Houston filming The Locusts. It was before he was famous. I was working at a gym off Westheimer and he came in looking for a personal trainer for about 6 weeks so he could work on his buff body. He kept asking his trainer if he was the strongest person his trainer had ever worked with and flexing his muscles. The gym had a dress code and every time i asked him to put on a shirt with sleeves he would tell me he didn't want to disappoint the ladies by having to cover up. I thought he was a jerk at the time but now I get it. 4951
