Congratulations to Matt Scherzer of the Washington Nationals. He just pitched a no-hitter. He had a perfect game with 2 strikes and 2 outs in the 9th inning and he hit a batter. But he did get the no-hitter. Scherzer signed the largest contract for a pitcher in the offseason. I guess he earned his money today. 4951

I was watching it, the guy he "hit" looked as if he was trying to get hit with the pitch, total bull.  Glad he got the no hitter.  I lived in the D.C. area when the Nats  became a new team, and my husband is a fan (having grown up in that area) so it was nice to see. 4951

@Littlegoo: On one of our many baseball trips, the wifey and I caught a game there in 2005...They were still in RFK Stadium then. The people were very excited about baseball being back in DC. They have the talent to win a WS, that's for sure. They just have to pull it all together at the end. Emoticon

I would love to see the Nats and Astros in the world series. I would definitely root for the Stros, my husband would probably be torn, but would probably root for the Nats.  Either way we'd be happy. It could happen. 4951
