Does anyone go to Dr. Hoang in Atascocita? I'm thinking of making a new patient appointment, just wondering does anyone know her?
Any info will be appreciated.
@NMman: I say don't! When I first moved to Kingwood I needed a doctor because I had gotten a bad cough that later turned into broncitious. I was also battling with trying to loose weight and having a very hard time. I was previously on the depo shots for birth control and they made me gain a ton of weight that I couldn't seem to get off. I stopped the shots and changed to that ring-thingy but I was convinced it had fallen out (long story and a little TMI, but bear with me, this gets good).  I called to set up an appointment for cough medicine and blood work (pregnancy test and thyroid test). I first went to my "lady doctor" though who was just down the street. He gave me a pregnancy test and it was negative, which I thought it would be since my hubby had been out at sea for a while and, well, yeah there was no way really but I was paranoid. So I went in to get medicine for my cough and to get blood work done. So I went in and she asked me what was wrong and I told her the cough and the weight gain/not able to loose. She looked at me (and insert offensive Asian accent here) and said "Oh...maybe you pregnant". I told her no, I had just seen my "lady doctor" and he confirmed I was not and gave me a referral to get thyroid blood work done. I also needed the cough medicine. So she "diagnosed" my cough and gave me a prescription, but not before again saying maybe I was pregnant. Skip ahead a week. Blood work is back so I go in. Everything looks normal but she again tells me "oh...maybe you pregnant". I explained to her that I was not, and I had not seen my husband in over a month so that was not possible from when I got the last pregnancy test done and now (a week later). She was not convinced. Next week, cough still not gone, worse actually, so I go back in. She inquires about my weight and mentions, again, you guessed it, "oh maybe you pregnant". By this point I have lost my patience with it. I tell her no, it's not possible, just give me cough medicine. Get the script and go. When I go to pick up my medicine I find it has codeine in it and I can't take it as I am allergic. So I call the office and they tell me I need to come back in. AGAIN, "oh, maybe you pregnant". No patience anymore, "yeah, maybe I am. Can I please just have some medicine". I ended up going back one more time with the same results. I am convinced she is a fail-out of OBGYN school. Also, she doesn't really diagnose as much as she asks you questions and plugs them into a computer that spits out a diagnosis. She is test (which are all expensive) crazy too, which really adds up. I say find someone else.My husband asked me what I was typing just now, and I told him it was about Dr. Mindy. His immediate response, "oh are you pregnant again?".
