There is a tv series on Netflix that I watch frequently. I would love to take my favorite scences and put them in one video. Can that be done? I see some people have done it on you-tube but I have know idea what software I need. I don't mind buying the seasons or episodes I want in order to do this. Any help would be really really appreciated. 4951

Easy peasy without special software.

If you can record it with a phone or camera (wont be the best quality but you are not using special software), you can then embed the video into power point presentation. Then save the power point using "save as" mp4. Takes a while to save it, to video but it makes a video that can be emailed or posted to YouTube. 4951

@foxymama: Windows comes with a "Windows Movie Maker"  You can edit clips with it.  You can also add special effects, fade-in, fade-out, text, add still pictures etc.

@FoFa: yes, i have imovie.  Just not sure what format i need the tv series in and how do i just copy certain scenes?  i am guessing there is a youtube video on how to do this.
I really don't want to have to use my phone to take a video of my tv or computer screen.   4951

@foxymama: Typically if you can get MP4 format, almost everything will deal with it, but many others are usually supported as well, not to mention Apples MOV format.
Usually (I have never used iMovie mind you, but have used like 4 or 5 other ones on Windows) you import the clip, and select a start and end point and cut that out (or select the parts you don't want and delete them.Usually you have to create all the clips and save them. After you do that, you can past them together in one big movie if you desire. Usually. 4951
