So I'm thinking my other half would enjoy this meal and I suppose I should really cook for him on Sunday seeing as how it's Father's Day and all. Emoticon Can you share the recipe please?Unless anyone else has suggestions... He's your traditional Irish "meat and potatoes" guy, but I don't work the grill. I'm going to make him a cheesecake for dessert. 4951

Here's one I found in the KDC recipes section... Looks easy:Tigers Mom says:
"Oh my this you will love. BUT! make sure and follow the directions and DON'T PEEK!"

INGREDIENTS

2-3 lbs. lean stew meat
1 pkg onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2/3 soup can of water
4 oz. sliced mushrooms (opional)

DIRECTIONS

Cut meat into bite size pieces. Put into a large baking
dish w/lid. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Bake COVERED in 300F
oven for 3 hours. DO NOT PEEK. Serve over rice or noodles.

The above is pretty close and I will add some sour cream if I have it. I also sauteed some mushrooms but did those separate because Michael doesn't like them. I use tenderized cube steak or venison. It doesn't take as long to get tender. 4951

@GoldenGirl: This is the recipe I use and it is delish beyond words!  Now I am going to have to make it!  You will not be disappointed if you try this one!  I always double the recipe and take dinner to my parents and pack me & hubby's lunch for work.

@BooBear: Thank you! Where do you get your venison?? I'm thinking about checking out the butcher over in Atascocita that everyone raves about.

@BooBear: Smart ***. Emoticon I'm jealous - my BFF's husband is a hunter and would get a deer for us every Winter, back in PA. It would last us half a year and was so tasty.
