I've also found that, when we moved here in late July kids just weren't outside playing. Not sure if it was the heat, or what... I always send my kids outside to play - more and more came out and played as well as they realized their were other (new ones) in the 'hood! God luck! 4951

Thanks for the quick response! Do you have school age kids? I grew up in Forest Cove in the 80 s where there were kids everywhere! What part of FC do you live in? 4951

Forest Cove is changing rapidly with homes flying off the market soon after being listed. It is a great neighborhood with beautiful lots and minutes from downtown. I think it is being discovered and I hope with that it brings kids like when I was a kid growing up there ! If anyone knows of school age kids under high school let me know!!!! 4951

Thank you!  We live in Kings Point right now and haven't registered at Foster yet.  I was a little hesitant to move her from Willow Creek Elementary  her last year of elementary but has hoping that making a few friends would help the move! We are finishing the home in Sept./Oct.  but will still have the house in Kings Point to sell so we are at a crossroads with elementary schools!  I myself went to Foster - it was a great school!  Any information on the teachers, academics and kids at Foster?  Still hoping that by meeting a few friends, Foster will be a no brainer  4951

Forest Cove is sure a mixed bag. My son lost a pair of red/black sunglasses there last week (seen them, anyone??) and we drove around the neighborhood for about 40 minutes. There are so many run down houses (this was in the area with smaller lots, closer to Kingwood Drive). It looks like a neighborhood that was once very nice, with lots of kids, and then the kids grew up, mom and dad stayed, grew old, couldn't take care of the house and property, and are now elderly. There will definitely be a turnover to younger couples/families but it will take a while for the neighborhood to show marked improvements. 4951

@Burnsway:  Hmmmm.....we were going from street to street beginning just a block or so south of Kingwood Drive. There are some homes that are kept up VERY nicely but many that were in awful shape.I LOVE the part of Forest Cove with larger lots and homes, and YES, I'd move there in a heartbeat!  Emoticon

There are a few beautiful homes being remodeled and built around the Palmetto,  Sycamore and Redbud areas.  I do see the homes listed then sold sometimes within a day so there is definitely a new era happening!  There are great residents that have lived there for decades, but some of the original residents are selling and then we see the neighborhood transitioning!  The curve of Palmetto has two new houses that are setting a tone!!!  4951

We love living in Forest Cove; great neighborhood.  Three homes close to us SOLD within two weeks of being listed.  One for more than it was listed.  I haven't noticed any homes that are in ill repair; Forest Cove has a very active HOA.  People keep up their property and yards in Forest Cove.  Beautiful large lots up close front of Kingwood with all custom homes. 4951

No bad homes? Really? You obviously havent driven around. Check out Sycamore Lane, there is one two houses down from me. I believe its 1400 Sycamore. The HOA does nothing to encourage people to take care of their lawns. 4951
