>> Crazy how we pay taxes on our rent etc and we can not use the city parks.
@beadweaver: And therein lies the flaw in your argument. Â The KSA parks are not city parks. Â They are private property owned, managed, and paid for by the KSA members. Â To the best of my knowledge, there are no tax dollars used at all.
The village parks and playgrounds...the ones in each neighborhood where children are most apt to play...are open to residents and do not require a sticker. Â I don't know where they are all located, but I'm familiar with the ones my kids have played at. Â Bear Branch is on Tree Lane across from the elementary school. Â Hunters Ridge is on Brookdale just off North Park. Â Elm Grove has a nice one on the corner of Creek Shadows and Rustling Elms. Â I know there is one in Trailwood, another in Woodland Hills, and several more that I've seen over the years but am drawing a blank on.
@shodan66:
No argument, just a question. We live here yet get what?
I understand the neighborhoods have there parks.
Where are public parks? Where we can kick back read a book etc.
I usually drive up to 336 to Carl Barton Jr park. There are 7 baseball diamonds so you usually get to catch an inning as you sit a spell. They have swings, etc for the kids, you can fish, pavilion and grills, nature trails and a concrete path around the lake and fountain. It's spotless clean and well maintained. Again it's at least 10 miles one way.
I'd like to be able to go someplace other than lonestar college track.
I'm a student and drop my recyclables, but the smell of the outhouses is a real turn off.
I'd like a close place to be able to take the dog and then be able to watercolor, draw, bead or just read a book.
