@ProblemAgain: Thanks! I'll look at the others tomorrow. Of the nine reasons the guy in this article gives for liking Windows 10, I won't use ANY of them. With Windows 8.1, I go directly to Desktop view and do everything from there. MAYBE their new Start menu will be better because I hate the Start window with all the app icons on W8.1  Windows 8.0 and 8.1 were simplified software that seems more suitable for a tablet than a desktop, but I was finally able to make it work.When Microsoft says things like "more intuitive", that really means they've dumbed it down even more and you can't do some of the things you could do before. W10 will also download and install updates automatically. I like to know when updates are available, but I want to control when they are downloaded and installed. At least I've got plenty of time to read more about it before I commit.
