Use a plastic peanut butter jar to keep phone, keys, & other misc
items dry at the pool or beach. The opening is nice and wide so most
items fit in easily

That is a great idea.  And with all the new smartphones, this is really smart. They get so hot while you are at the pool, you could set the peanut butter jar in a cooler and it would stay cool and dry.

@Fallon:
Wanna go to the beach with me and steal peanut butter jars?

Won't it get hot and humid in the jar?

Maybe line the inside of the jar with a pretty paper to block the sun and peering eyes too.

I have two of the floaty cases you can hang around your neck for keys, cc, etc but the phones do not fit.

Well I was thinking if you put the jar in a cooler, it would be a good thing.  Stay cool and maybe dry.  As dry as anything in Houston can be  in the summer.But your idea of lining the inside of the jar with pretty paper is awesome.Someone should do this, and sell these bad boys for a few bucks at a flea market.  Or put it on that pine tree thing everyone uses with FB.

@Fallon:

Let's do it. I have more than enough paper to make a couple thousand.

I wouldn't trust the cooler due to ice melt. Nobody says you can't make a nice cover that's washable and sand friendly.

By lets, I hope you mean you.  LOL  I am still painting my house.  I chose to go with gray.  And there are a lot more shades of gray than 50!  I am still deciding on the colors.  So instead of paying someone to paint for me, I am doing it myself.  And every time I pick up a paint brush, I realize that my painter is WAY underpaidEmoticon

@Fallon:

lol yes way more shades than 50.

My painters wanted $500 to paint a 20ft stairwell. My dh did in two hours.

I'm hoping it dries out so I can finish framing in my porch for a screen room. I'm not waiting for dh.
I'm the jane of all trades in my home. Always have been. Problems arise when I realize I'm not 25 anymore.

I'll make a few and see what happens. It will be a cool project to make with my grand god daughter. She's 12 and coming for a month.

She lost her mom last August and grannie although my bff ever, has no clue about the internet etc.

I already told her we were gonna get lessons on what, where and when to post.
Hopefully I can schedule a few art shows while she's here so she can learn the art of selling art too.
She's bringing her 12 string to learn a bit from my husband and she writes songs, so it should be a fun summer.
I was her dad's nanny for 13 yrs or so. She will now follow him by spending the summer as he did. It should be fun as she's a little tomgirl. Not afraid of anything. She was raised with cougars, wolves, deer, lemurs and kangaroo.

yes we will be hitting up all the animal places.

What a good idea! Will have to get a big jar just for this as we basically live at the pool & beach in the summer months. DH & DD both have nut allergies though so the contents likely get trashed. Emoticon 4951
