Hi all! Can someone tell us who is a good, trustworthy mechanic here in Kingwood. Hubby's Silverado is having brake issues and we're pretty new here. Any suggestions? 4951

Search brakes on google maps and shop. Sorry but mechanics tend to gouge in this area. 4951

@MellieMac:My husband could never find anyone satisfactory to work on his GMC/Chevy trucks.  Finally was referred to Diamond Automotive on Wilson Road just past 1960.  VERY pleased...and the last truck was old and decrepit.  Never tried to jack him around, did good work.  Cheaper than the others he had used. 4951

Kenneth's off North Park is good they have been around for a long time (maybe 30 years or so).  I used to take my car there in the past.  Now I take it to Kings Crossing (on W Lake Houston Pkwy) by Wendy's.  They also do a good job.Posting after a long time (maybe two years) - got tired of all the fighting - looks like that has stopped for the most part.  4951

When you find one let us all know. Finding a good mechanic is like voting for a clear transparency honest politician. 4951

For brakes, I've been using "Just Brakes" on 1960 a mile or so from the 59 overpass (just over the rail road track overpass on South side). Not sure if "Kirby" the mgr. is still there cause my brakes on both vehicles have been great for three+ years. Probably time to go in for a brake check, although last I checked the pads were still good on both. Also, I do flush the brake lines once a year or so, which is highly recommended. 4951

You'll hear KW service center a lot here, I've got a regular mechanic that's in downtown Humble, but after numerous recommendations for KW service center on KDC, I've used them quite a bit as well, always had good luck! 4951

We use either King's Crossing or Kingwood Service Center.  We used Kenneth's for several years after we moved here (1993).  But after it was sold to a different owner, we were not as happy with them. 4951

We use West Lake Houston Automotive. They have always done a good job at a fair price. 4951

I had Beckwith's on 1960 recommended to me. I had been going to West Lake Houston Automotive. Never friendly, they left my car dirty and their sign that they provide dealership service for a better price to me was a little laughable. My in-laws used them a few times and never got the fix they needed. So I tried Beckwiths just recently for an oil change. I've only been the one time but I went it with a coupon for a free one and even though it was expired, they still honored it. $60 oil change too. The guy was friendly and I love that they have a car service that will take you to work or home and pick you up when they're done with your vehicle. And its owned by a woman. Gotta say I kinda love that.  4951
