We but the grandparents pass every year.  We can take up to six children each time we go.  The pass includes two one time adult passes also.  It pays for itself in two visits.  It also covers San Antonio Zoo and other zoos around the country as will as Texas. 4951

We do the same @rebadawn and yes, it pays for itself if you go more than once a year. That said, we haven't seen the new exhibit yet. Looking forward to it, just didn't want to go when it's raining. 4951

My family went to the sneak preview of the Gorilla habitat installation and they loved it! I agree getting the annual pass is a good bet if you go more then once a year. They have different levels of passes too.  4951

We visited the zoo this past Saturday, even with the rain, it was a great time.  The new Gorilla exhibit is amazing and beautiful.  You really get to see the Gorillas up close.  One male gorilla tore town a tree right in front of us, he was totally showing off because as he was doing it, he kept looking at all of us to make sure that we were watching.  Another gorilla further down started pounding on his chest, calling to one of the other gorillas.  It was really neat. Some zoos are a lot better for the animals than others, and I think we have a really great zoo here. 4951
