I will make my prediction now...:-)

We will not be hit by a major hurricane (nor hurry-cane) this year. 4951

I think we will have to deal with a moderate one this season, kind of think all this rain we have been getting is an underlying message showing us where our shortfalls are at and what we can do to prepare better...What ever we get will dump a lot of rain.. 4951

I also think if we get one early in the season that there will be a 2nd one to deal with late in the season. 4951

Now that I'm back living in Kingwood I worry a little more about hurricane season, being surrounded by very tall trees and all. When I lived in Katy I didn't have that problem as the few trees we did have did not even reach my rooftop. 4951

I love all my tall trees but hate to see them sway and bend in the harsh winds. I sure hope we don't get hit. 4951

Last year I was just plain worn out and didn't even think about hurricane prep. This year I guess we should be better prepared, although hubby says he'll leave.

I guess a lot of empty houses might be tempting to thieves. 4951

Me and my fam will stay put and hunker down with our supplies and hope for the best . When Ike hit we were at town center apts .The french doors blew in and stuff got wet but we were ok just didnt have power that was the worst . So we packed up and went to my apt. In the woodlands and surprisingly had power . Now that we are married we dont have that option of moving to a different location. Hope we dont get hit but it is good for business. 4951

All the tall trees around us are in the neighbors yards. Apparently the previous owner asked the neighbor to trim the branches which hang over our garage, but they wouldn't, said he could have it done if he wanted it done.

If I understand correctly, the structure owner's insurance pays, not the tree owner, if there is damage. Unless their is proof the tree owner was negligent in taking care of a compromised tree. Anyone know if that's true? 4951
