We just planted a Red Bud Tree and Apricot Tree early this spring and both have lost all their leaves - we are thinking too much rain also... 4951

I tried planting a bunch of drought tolerant plants this year and they all look pretty pathetic right now. My roses must be loving this rain though, they have taken off like crazy! 4951

I just saw on the news this week that the only peach tree that will grow and produce in our climate is a dwarf peach tree. I wish I had known that a few dead peach trees ago. Why do they even sell the others??  4951

I started this right before the rains came. Of course I had planned on taking them out of the pots. I had all that on my porch and was testing where I wanted them. I can't get to it as it's sitting in ankle deep water with fire ants and I'm not wading to it to finish till it dries. The flowers are beat to hell right now.

I am taking the table and glass out and laying a bed of moss. I'll use Irish moss as the tablecloth and a platter for a birdbath, cups for bird and squirrel food and plates for butterflies. I'm gonna make crazy heads for the bench and paint some cinder blocks for legs and feet.

@MarT:Just about everything that loves heat and dry has kicked the bucket.....vinca, zinnias, non-native salvia, .....the list goes on.  If the water didn't drown them, the fungus and disease got 'em.  NOT a normal occurrence for sure.   Guy at KWGC said he has had to toss so many plants because of this wet weather.   Don't even get me started on what my row of tomatoes looks like!Once the ground dries out -if ever - try again! 4951

I had some bedding plants still in containers sitting on the ledge. They started looking very sick. Found that they had big black shiny bugs on the underside of the leaves.  Maybe some kind of scale?Lost most of them even though I washed the leaves and sprayed.  Had never seen that bug before.  4951

Zinnias don't like wet feet. I put the in pots because snails and slugs aparently love them.  4951

My marigolds aren't doing that great either, just going to leave them in until the rain is finished.  4951

@MarT: This should tide you over for a bit. There are no shortage of pine cones here. Paint em and add a yellow center and you have a permanent bouquet of nice Zinnias!!
