I just heard and read that that amount being released has been reduced from 10,000 ft per sec to 8,000 ft per sec. This release has been happening almost daily for a couple of weeks now. 4951
Channel 13 is talking about the San Jacinto river flooding because it doesn't have a dam at lake Houston, just a spill way. This could get ugly. A friend just text me this. Keep safe neighbors. If your on the river just get out of there for a few days. God speed. 4951
I don't see anything on either site about a significant release that will have uncontrollable flooding... The damn has been releasing 8050 cfm for days now.. anyone actually have creditable data or a source  on Chavez post? 4951
One of the news stations sent out that alert earlier. They've been releasing in the 6K range and it looks like they've upped it to 8K. The river is rising pretty fast just below the lake and at I-45 in Conroe (River Plantation area). Check out the graphs on the San Jac River Authority link. It looks like it is still working its way down to Porter. 4951
If your next to the river pay attention. I'm sorry the river after the lake Houston spill way is getting full. I was on new 90 yesterday all the bayous are full. 4951
