My street is flooding but that's ok because it took the 2 newspapers I had not picked up and washed them down the street. 4951

Line of heavy stuff almost through the area.  Some lighter showers to follow, but nothing that shouldn't allow this current batch to drain off.  More this afternoon probably as breaks in clouds allow for some surface warming and instability remains in-play. 4951

@analogkid: What are your thoughts about this Saturday?  Swim meet or no?

@Odin: Yeah, at this point, I don't see the summer league meets getting rained out.  It wouldn't surprise me if there was some rain, but not of this nature or severity.  I think getting through until 2 p.m. or so is likely. This current front passing through is progged to meander back towards the north though, and could reinitiate/serve as a focus for rain or t-storms.  True to form this spring, timing is key.  The capping we've seen the past couple of spring/summers has been, largely, taking a back seat to persistent instability and just the slightest surface heating has been enough to trigger even small t-storms. 4951

@BooBear, Just imagine how many of those papers get washed down the sewer drain.  I never read them, just toss them out.  Maybe a newspaper clogged sewer will stop them.  @analogkid, Are you a meteorologist?  Thanks for the info! 4951

@Odin: Didn't say it was out of the question.  At this point, knowing what I know, and if you were to push me off a cliff unless I made a decision, I'd say they're a go.
