Are we talking firefighter uniform, police uniform, soldier?  You have to be specific because my next move will depend on it.  Firefighter, I think we ALL know my next move.  Dude will likely get groped.  EmoticonPolice, I am thinking. "oh bloody hell, did he just witness my driving?"  No eye contact...make zero eye contact.Soldier, just so I don't look like a stalker, I will likely smile and say "hi."  Now, if that same solider is in an airport, I would also include the "thank you for your service."  If it's a marine in dress blues, please refer to the firefighter reference above.  With a few exceptions, did I mention....LOVE ME A MAN IN PROFESSIONAL UNIFORM!!! 4951

I am a sucker for a uniform!!!!   I really have a thing for firefighters.... Even the old ones, lol -  something sexy about them to me......    A good looking cop in uniform same thing.. nothing hotter than a gun on a hip.  As for someone serving in our armed forces....   I always thank them for  their service...  and yeah they are hot too !!!   ha ha 4951

anyone have any kinda advice for me about to leave for Army bootcamp?

@Mustang40: Here are a few things:1.  Stop calling it "bootcamp".  Marines and Navy go to "bootcamp", soldiers go to "basic training".  If you forget this, your Drill Sergeant will remind you.2.  You're wrong.  Just get used to that right now.  Don't mouth back.  Don't give an opinion.  Don't try to be an individual.  Just accept that whatever it is you're thinking right now is incorrect and that the only correct answer will be given to you by your instructor and/or Drill Sergeant and you'll be fine.3.  No matter how many push-ups or sit-ups you can do right now, you cannot do as many as they will make you do.  It is their job to push you to your breaking point both physically and mentally.  It's the only job they have and they are good at it.4.  Be ready to sit through classes.  Lots of classes.  Most people think that basic training is all about running the obstacle course and firing weapons all day every day.  There's plenty of firing, but you'll be surprised at how many of your days are spent in the classroom listening to an instructor.4a.  When you're in those classrooms do whatever you can possibly do to NOT fall asleep.  The results will not be enjoyable.5.  Ignore the rumors.  I can promise you that we'll declare war on someone while you're there.  You won't have access to news.  You won't have a phone.  The staff will be your only source of information and they will sell the story to you just like they are selling it to ugly Trainees right now.  And for god sake, No!  Trainees did not sit in a circle and commit mass suicide during the last cycle.  It didn't happen last week or last month or last year.  It was already an old story in the early 80's and probably long before that.6.  Treat it like a job.  You're not there to play grab*** with your buddies.  You're not on summer vacation with your pals.  You're getting paid to do a job and your job is to learn everything you can about being a soldier.  Yes, they can talk to you like that.  Yes, you will clean what you're told to clean.  No, you can't sit down and take a break.  It's a job and you'll earn your money.7.  Never forget that the sun will come up tomorrow.  There will be days where you will fall into bed thinking that you just can't do it any more.  You can.  You will.  Right now at this minute there are people just like you going through the exact same thing you will be facing.  Whatever situation you find yourself in, remember that it's on purpose.  Someone will have been in your exact spot two weeks prior and someone else will be two weeks later. If you can see it for what it is going in, you can have a lot of fun.  You'll have some great experiences and will meet friends that you'll keep for a lifetime. source:  US Army Infantry soldier and chopper pilot 1984-2005
