I'm just looking for anyone's reviews on the Target Optical (in Atascocita). I need an exam & probably two pair of glasses, one pair will be for work & probably get a fair amount of abuse. Also, if you know of any places to get affordable, but still cute frames, let me know! 4951

I wanted an expensive no frills pair of glasses since my Rx for my second pair would have cost $300ish elsewhere. I did not have the exam there but their customer service and quality were very good and I would definitely recommend them. 4951

Husband was very pleased with Walmart optical. He received his rx from our regular ophthalmologist and had difficulty finding his rx available in a super thin lens. They had the best price and a quick turn around. 4951

I use Dr Tran at the Atascocita Walmart and then Gary and his team at Walmart. Good service and good prices. 4951

Belated edit: OOPS!!! I meant inexpensive. Too late to correct now, hence the second post.

We have been to Target optical a few years ago. Had the exam. The doctor mentioned my DDs prescription had not changed much. Went to Walmart to get prescription for glasses filled. ( that is where she found a pair she liked). The Walmart guy putting in the prescription makes the comment about how dramatic of a change the prescription was for the worse. I went back to Target optical to explain that I think she wrote down the wrong prescription for my DDs glasses. They denied it and would not do another eye exam without me paying.Needless to say we  left and have never been back. Went to Dr. Shrum in Atascocita ever since. I did have to pay for another eye exam at that time. However I am confident in the prscriptions that Dr. Shrum doles out. Over the years her eyes have actually improved. We always order  our contacts from vision direct .com. We pick out our glasses at Vision Source and order them from simply eyeglasses .com.     4951

I'm extremely near-sighted, and did not receive the right prescription from Target optical in Atascocita. It was for contacts ( I cannot remember the woman's name who did mine). This was 2 years ago, so it may be different now.  I wouldn't go back personally. The room was extremely tiny as well, so I felt a bit claustrophobic.  I've received good glasses and prescription from Mann Eye Clinic, and last year I ordered eyeglasses from Zenni Optical, which is great. You just need to get your pupillary distance (PD) on your prescription for Zenni. If you go to Mann, make sure you have plenty of time to waste. They took forever for the exam and I also feel they are overpriced. 4951
