The executives and senior leadership are NOT taking any cuts in pay, while the workers are survive the layoffs take a 50% cut in pay. 4951

Sounds kind of normal...  It all trickles down to the bottom I guess.  Sad thing is when they start up these people are not even guaranteed a job.  They have to apply like any joe off the street.  Kind of stinks after being there for years. 4951

Typical business strategy.

I don't like Blue Bell either for many reasons, but I do feel for those employees and the city of Brenham.

Many of those people gave their lives to BB, you would think upper management would sacrifice just 5% of their salaries for the hard workers who actually make their products and save the company AND town.

Sickening!

Technically the FDA should of shut down Blue Bell in 2013 if they had documents. I wouldn't be surprised if this was all a big set up to knock down the Blue Bell name. There are some serious players in the ice cream business. From Hershey's to Ben and Jerry's and the list goes on. The grocery store has limited space and they sell that space to a vendor. I bet one of the big shots are clamming to put their variety on the freezer shelf. Blue Bell has responsibility too they must put out a quality safe product. The food business is dangerous when you don't control the end product. 4951

The benefit of being in charge.
Since a large chunk of top executive pay is usually bonuses and other non-salary items I bet they are taking a huge cut in overall pay.
Not going to be any bonuses for a long while, may not be an independent company for much longer.

What I don't understand is Taco Bell has had several Ecoli outbreaks and they keep the market share. Maybe Blue Bell can pull out of this. I am buying vanilla only from now on. 4951
