The M on his head means he is part Manx so yes in a way he is a bobcat only a domestic one
@angiekaye: Why do cats have letter 'M' on their foreheads?Loads of tabby cats (and even other domesticated cats and wild ones)
have this 'M' marking on their forehead and I've always wondered: why? Tabby cats are not a breed but just a description of coat patterns.
It is believed that all domestic cats carry the Tabby gene. It is
either recessive or dominant. The markings are a form of camouflage
inherited from its ancestor. You will also see this M on many of the
big jungle cats, such as tigers, cheetahs, and ocelots.
