I am partial to citizen donuts. What is your favorite? 4951

pretty much any cake donut (blueberry) or old fashioned cake.i'm more of a breakfast taco girl. and the ones at kingwood meat market can't be beat.  even better than tita's taco house imo. 4951

@aggiebutterfly: Completely agree about the breakfast tacos although I have never been to Titas.

Nothing beats a hot-n-fresh glazed Shipley donut IMO.  I'll have to see what the Dunkin Donuts is all about, as I have, admittedly never had one..... I have a hard time believing they could touch the deliciousness of a hot Shipley donut though Emoticon Emoticon 4951

@alecktra: They can't! DD is all we had up north really. They're good, but Shipley's changed my life when we moved here. Emoticon

We used to go to Pat's but lately their donuts have a chemical taste to them.  4951

I don't eat donuts too often, but when I do, fresh warm Shipley's glazed is my favorite. 4951

I read that the Dunkin Donuts are not made fresh on the premises. There is nothing yummier than a hot glazed donut fresh out of the fryer. 4951

A hot glazed donut from Krispy Kreme will change your life. Unfortunately, I think the closest one is in Austin. 4951

I like DD's coffee, but the donuts are just okay.  I'm partial to Citizen's, too.  If you go in there to get glazed donuts and hit at the right time, they'll go in the back to get you the hot ones instead of the ones in the case.  4951

I love Shipley's Apple Fritters!  Just can't eat them very often.I grew up with Krispy Kreme, but we would stop at a Shipley's when we went to visit my mom's family in northeast Texas.  Both were a rare treat! 4951
