Watching on Fox News right now. Can't understand why the Police are allowing the rioters to pilpher the CVS. Why don't they shoot tear gas in those stores that are being looted? Police seriously injured, cars destroyed, streets shut down, buildings looted . . Police NOT prepared. Amazing, as this is a major US city. 4951

Tear gas is not really a gas, it's a powdered irritant. Once that stuff gets in a store it will get in every nook and cranny, it could take weeks to subside. Everything would have to be thrown out. Either that or take on a freight train of lawsuits when people start opening greeting cards and start going into convulsions.     4951

Seven police officers have already been wounded.  Should they be sent into hand to hand combat with these kids?  What is more important, human lives or store inventory?  It's a tough situation and very sad all the way around. 4951

Shooting them why? So momma and daddy can say their little angel didn't deserve to die and Holder and Sharpton create another race debate. Screw that. Let them raid it. Then, go to the video and start apprehending them one by one. Take away their strength in numbers. Not so tuff anymore when you don't know when they are coming for you.    4951

I agree the police are in between a rock and a hard place. But I think there is a difference between shooting unarmed people in the back and letting looters go unchecked and letting them destroy the city. The police need to go in and start rounding them up. It is a difficult challenge but they have to restore order. 4951

I know about tear gas. Some Seniors in HS thought it would be a good prank to set a tank of it off in school, think they found it on some loading dock or something. Mass hysteria. Then for weeks coughing, it got on all the books so whenever you open anything or walk on the area, it started all over again. Never want to use that stuff indoors. All the contents in the store would not be worth what it would cost to detox it.     4951

Now what has happened, the dust never settles around here! We're starting to act like a third world country, only a matter of time before a civil war kicks off....

Are you prepared, bullets will sky rocket and be short of supply and demand?! 4951

I'm pretty sure the National Guard didn't beat a man until they severed his spine, eventually bringing death upon him.The police are reaping what they sow. 4951

It takes a while to get the NG mobilized 2-3 days. These are part-time Soldiers. They do have some quick reaction forces but their numbers are very small. They also will not be permitted to carry bullets more than likely so they are even more vulnerable than police. They are not going to let a 19 year old near that place with a semi-automatic M4 without somebody making that call from way up top.      4951

The Governor. The General in the state though would not authorize bullets, maybe one or two per E6 and above. No way he's ruining his career over something like that...very high risk in a gang infested area. Main thing though is to outnumber and skatter them. That can be achieved with troops, flares and tear gas outdoors.     4951
