People are weird! This happened....So I went to a wino-o meet up with a good friend, my second with this group and it's a casual affair. We sat at this large table and people were coming and going with their snack like meals. This one lady sat down next to me, she was wearing a black pretty dressy dress with pearls, a little over dressed for this occasion but no biggy, maybe she just didn't know. Anyway she proceeds to eat her salad and drops a large chunk of apple covered in salad dressing. Still no big deal, it happens. She leaves it there on the table closer to my space than her. She finishes her meal then ******* flicks, with her finger and thumb, the apple, into my space and it hits my eye glasses and small black velvet purse. She never attempts to pick it up, not with her napkin, nothing. Just drops it from her mouth, leaves it on the table, then flicks it into my stuff, leaves the napkin she just wiped her hands with on the table and then left. I was baffled. Who the hell does that? She was dressed so classy at a casual event, and acted so trashy. My friend and I just looked at each other, mouth dropped, after she flicks it then drops her napkin and gets up. She did said to us, 'nice to meet you' as she is leaving. She never acknowledged that she flicked a dressing covered apple into my eye glasses and purse. It was just weird. 4951

She wasn't visible drunk, quite sober I think. And the glasses were on the table not my face, I can be thankful for that. 4951

I would have picked it up with a spare utensil, set it back in front of her and said "oops, I believe you just dropped this," followed by a big huge "well bless your heart but don't ***** with me" smile. 4951

AND the younger crowd wouldn't say a thing! You never said anything- did you? Yeah - old People can dish!! Now me- I'm getting sassy and I totally would've called her rear end out. Living with my silly dh has made me bold Emoticon
NOW had you been the same age OR older then NO way would she have done that!

Being a former Marine, it's not my nature to cut people slack for that stuff. I'm going to call that person out. Eating like a slob is one thing, but when it enters my area of operations, unauthorized, you will know about it immediately. I take no S!@# from anyone.       4951

@Jpgurl: HA.
Agreed.Once an old lady blatantly stepped in front of me while I was in line at Target. It took me a second to realize she wasn't going anywhere, then I loudly said "Excuuuuse ME. Did you need help finding some candy or something? Because, I am obviously in line." Not skipping a beat, she said "Oh, I'm sorry....did you want to get in front of me?" *like she was there before me. Nonsense, I had been in line a couple of minutes before she moseyed out of the Depends aisle.I said, "Nope, I actually don't want to be anywhere near you, or in the same line at all." I walked off and got in a faster lane. 4951

@Elle10: and me being the cranky "old" lady I am would've said "well Bless your Little Heart Ms Daisy- you must've left your glasses at home because Y'All just cut In line one front of ME. BUT- Seriously Y'all JUST stay RIGHT where you are - I can see You're not only BLIND but frail as well. I can hardly believe you manage to even fill your cart. No PLEASE stay right there I have PLENTY more time on this planet than you- I'll just get into another line over here so you won't feel so rushed as you trying to figure out that little Ole debit card machine!!"
Yep this is how the not quite old but brain still intact Southern Women ROLL. 4951
