I toured an American submarine in Mobile, AL.  it was OK to visit, but I can't imagine living in one and being underwater. 4951

@Retired_Engineer: On the plus side serving on a submarine pays more than serving on a destroyer, carrier, etc...

@Drekonix, dude, it would have to pay like a million times more, minimum!Being underwater would freak me out.  And I would freak everyone else out.  I'd hear drips of water.  Yeah, I'd be kicked out on some island somewhere.
 
@Fallon: My friend's father served on a submarine with a special forces detachment once and said:"The only person more powerful than god is a nuclear submarine captain."

@Drekonix:  Today's nuclear submarines are spacious compared to the WWII diesel/electric subs (like the one in Mobile).I agree that Captains of ships and submarines are pretty much all-powerful.
