There used to be a restaurant  (don't know if it is still there) around Hwy 6 and SW Freeway that had Peacocks in their courtyard. You could eat dinner and watch them (through the windows).Actually noisy, dirty birds. They had many neighbor complaints about the noise. That was many moons ago when I lived out that way. 4951

There was an article in the Houstonia, April 7, 2014, that stated Peacocks: The New Face of Terror!  lolSome got loose and not everyone was pleased.  One in particular, got the name of meanie, and he ambushes people from the air, and attacks them.I hope this guy stays safe.  Wonder if I should call someone to catch him?  He is covering massive ground.  He was in Mills Branch, then Greentree, now in Trailwood.

@Fallon: Well shoot, with legs like those and that look of determination you would too!  Its a bird on a mission.

Funny. Somebody is missing a pet. Once I lived near a animal test center and a bunch of chimps got out in the neighborhood, they were running all over the place. The lab started putting traps in the yards with fruit. One, I don't think they ever caught it. People said they would see it in the surrounding woods from time to time.  4951

My nephew & his wife live in Candlelight Forest, over off 34th & Ella (somewhere in that area).  Their subdivision is known for their peacocks.  The people in that area seem to love them, but to me that loud cry and their pooping all over the place would drive me crazy.  And, they are destructive to roofs & vehicles.  4951
