I recently moved to Kingwood not too long ago and I was wondering if there is anywhere in this 'liveable forest' to get a quick breakfast aside from Shipleys or any fast food places. I know its a bit much to ask for quick but good food early in the morning but I'm hoping for some ideas. fresh Breakfast tacos or kolaches would be amazing before work. 4951

I recently tried the breakfast tacos at the Speedy Stop on the corner of Woodland Hills and Northpark. They make them right there in front of you, and they're delicious. Give them a try. Emoticon Oh, and welcome to KW! Emoticon  4951

That's one thing this area needs is more good breakfast places, both sit down and take away, like bagel shops.  IHOP and Denny's are just about it.  In Atascocita, at BW8 and Wilson, there is a new Egg & I, which is a more upscale IHOP/Denny's.  4951

@kitowllenTita's Tacos is the best option but it's in Humble, not Kingwood. Kingwood Meat Market (similar options but not quite as good) is on W L Houston near Creekwood. They have a decent Donut shop next door if you don't feel like tacos.  4951

@kitowllen: Welcome to Kingwood and KDC!   Good breakfasts are hard to find here (excluding fast-food and sit-down chain restaurants).  I will say that the breakfast burritos at the Chevron Speedy Stop station on North Park and Woodland Hills Dr are very good!  There used to be a bagel place and a kolache place, but I don't know if they are still in business.

Humble City Cafe is good but we really don't have any great breakfast places. My wife and I were talking about this the other day. If someone opened one they would do well. Something really unique that serves poached eggs, bloody mary's, healthy options, playing some good morning music on a Sunday on XM coffee house or something...I would spend a lot of money there for sure.       4951

The cream cheese kolaches at The Kolache House are worth breaking any diet for. Location is on Northpark in the vicinity of Shipley's donuts. If she has the SMALL sausage, those are my end all be all favorites but she usually has the large. The phone number on her website is incorrect.

I really like the breakfast tacos at Kingwood Meat Market. The tortillas are made fresh. Call your order in advance for quick pick up.

I agree with everything Annie said. I call ahead to the Kingwood Meat Market and order breakfast tacos so they are all ready when I arrive. You can see the options on their website. I also am a fan of the Kolache house on Northpark. The owner is so sweet. If I am buying kolaches to reheat at home she will wrap them for me in saran wrap so I can micro them without them getting dried out.It is fast food, but I do like the chicken minis at chickfilA. LaMadeline's also has some breakfast options. 4951

@BBQguy: I agree there taco's are good but they take WAYYYYYY to long to make then.  Sometimes you can spend 15 minutes while they move soooo slow and talk to each other while there doing it.  I don't have time for that.

Also, we haven't been in a few months so maybe since they changed to Mobil they picked up the pace. 4951

@buddyboy: I liked Kolache House when I tried it but she is never open when I leave at 6 so unless I get out on the weekend I never get to have hers.  They are really good though.  4951

Another vote for Kingwood Meat Market.  Their breakfast tacos are fantastic.  Get the barbacoa.I've been meaning to try Kolache house.  I'm glad to see some "reviews" in here.  I'm stopping by there this week. 4951

@kitowllen: Okay, listen to me. I've lived in Kingwood for 26 years....
The best place for breakfast tacos is Taqueria Gabby on Northpark. it's a roadside trailer next to the fireworks stand and Big O's crawfish on the right side outbound.Second best Taco Joint it the Kingwood Meat Market located on W. Lake Houston Parkway near Wendy's and the Police Station. I also highly recommend Kingwood Bagel, it's in Town Center, W. Lake Houston right near Fed Ex, Mooyah Burgers, and Papa Johns. There is also a Kolache House place right near Shipley's on Northpark that's good. I haven't been there in a while. They may have limited hours.PS: Speedy Stop breakfast taco's belong in the garbage. Please leave them there and visit a real Mexican meat market.  4951

@Drekonix: I have been back in Kingwood for nearly 3 years, and I have never tried any of those places. I should get out of the house earlier. You have made me very hungry. Do any of them offer a late breakfast or breakfast served all day?
