That's how much weight I've lost in 4 weeks. That's a double pack of Kingsford, a sack of wood, or 4 large pork butts. I'm 1/3 of the way to my goal of dipping under 300 for the first time in 10 years. The greatest part about it  is doing it my way. I like to eat my favorite foods...I just do it with a little more moderation now, and I try not to eat anything after 8PM. I'm thinking about moving that time to 7PM, just to test myself a little more. I'm also starting to feel a little better while walking. My knees wouldn't let me get too far before. Emoticon Yes, this post is a brag...I do apologize for that, but I really felt like shouting it out!  Emoticon  4951

Awesome!  Keep up the great work.  I am working on doing the same.  I haven't been under 200 in about 5 years and my body is starting to break down.  Time to get under 200 and stay there. 4951

It's not as hard as you'd think. It's actually easier for me because I weigh so much, so the first part was bound to come off fast. I know I'll have to start some real dieting & exercise once I get down some more, if I want to see similar results. Right now, it's just when and how much I eat. I allow myself a "bad" meal once a day, I quit drinking cokes, and like I said above, I don't eat after 8PM. That's it! My wife thinks since I had the worst eating habits imaginable, that any kind of change for the good is what causes the dramatic results. All I know for sure is 420lbs was unacceptable, and I want to be able to do more things than I can right now. I also don't want to wait until it's too late, and I've eaten myself into diabetes or worse. I'm a big guy, and always have been & will be...But I don't have to be out of breath putting on my shoes!  Emoticon Thanks for the encouragement and pats on the back. I've asked a few of my friends/family to watch me, and get on me or kick my a** if they see me slipping. Being held accountable is a good motivator. Emoticon  4951

@BBQguy: Holy cow, 10 pounds a week is unbelievable awesome. I'm lucky if I can lose 2 pounds a week. Congratulations good sir and keep it up, you will continue to feel better and better the more you lose.About a year and a half ago I weighed 215 pounds (which is pretty fat for a guy who's only 5'6") since i made a conscious effort to eat better and exercise I'm down to 160 and physically fit enough to pass all my PT standards for the navy. I'm pretty happy about my own transformation and I wish you luck in yours! 4951

@BBQguy...loosing weight is the best thing you can do for your kids & wife so you will be around for years to come. Lowering your blood pressure & cholesterol will keep you living among us for a lot longer too. Congrats on the weight loss but be careful because 40 lbs. is a lot to loose in only 4 weeks. But keep up the good work & keep walking for your health ! 4951

@BBQguy: Good job!  When I started eating better, I quickly lost 20 lbs, but it stopped there.  Because I had a leg wound, I had to stay off of it and keep it elevated.  Now that it's mostly healed, I am starting to hit the recumbent bicycle again.  You can only go so far by changing diet.  Diet and exercise are the key!
