I found a bunch of unsalted almonds in my freezer. Anyone make almond butter before? Any other ideas for using them would be appreciated. Tks. 4951

Eat them.  I love almonds. They are third in line after pecans and cashews. 4951

Several years ago, I ground up some almonds in the food processor and used them as a crust on trout, then saut�ed in oil. I think I just dipped them in egg wash first, but I don't quite remember. I do remember the meal was really good though. 4951

I made almond buttet tonight and it is Awesome!!I used this recipe but tweeked it a bit for my tastehttp://allsortsofpretty.com/how-to-make-almond-butter/I felt 4 tbsp of coconut oil , 4 tbsp of honey and more salt was needed to get the right taste and consistancy. 4951

I agree it looks like poop in those pictures. I made some more today and processed it for 7 minutes longer than I did the first time and it came out really creamy like you want nut butter to be. 4951

I agree it looks like poop in those pictures. I made some more today and processed it for 7 minutes longer than I did the first time and it came out really creamy like you want nut butter to be.
