Anyone have a recommendation for a garage that will repair a tire? I don't want the old "this can't be patched, you have to buy four new tires" from the chain shops. 4951

Just make sure the tire is dismounted and physically patched, NOT plugged. Plugs distort the inner belting of the tire and cause overall instability. Most tire major manufactures adhering to RMA industry specs void the speed rating of a tire that had been plugged. 4951
Poop Boys told me my one month old tire had tread that was "too low". The guy at PB said he could sell me a new tire. I told him I'd take it to another garage. He said "Yeah, they'll do it, it's just our policy for safety reasons," as he gave me the "it's your own funeral" look, which was his last high pressure effort to sell me a tire.Kingwood Service Center patched the tire from the inside. $15.When I paid, a guy standing behind me said "Hey, you charged me $20."The guy at the counter replied "That's because you're a special customer". 4951
