Ugh...I've caught the coughing crud the wee one brought home. The fact that I haven't peed myself during a coughing fit is a true miracle!!

Not being able to load myself up on cough medicine sucks! 4951

My first thought was peeing!

Maybe it will make pushing easier when you finally have the baby. 4951

I'm having to have another c section. So no pushing for me!! Probably why I don't pee myself now to begin with! There are benefits to having c sections. LOL! 4951

I was scheduled for a c-section and my water broke the day before.  My kid has always been impatient..lol... I was sick at the time and I had to hold a pillow over my belly and lean over the bed to cough after the c-section because I thought I was going to die the pain was so bad.  I didn't take any pain meds either so that could have been part of the problem.  Hope you start feeling better and good luck in 3 weeks. 4951

Try this recipe for cough syrup.

www.thecleandish.com /homemade-onion-hone y-cough-syrup/

I have also done this with plain white sugar. It really works. My son had a bad cough and I alternated the onion syrup with his prescription. This lasted 4 hours and he liked the taste better.

I hope you get well soon. 4951

I haven't peed myself near as many times this time as I did with Taylor. Not sure why, because this guy is practically sitting in my lap and has sat lower the entire time. It's getting super uncomfortable just to walk. Sometimes just flat out painful! Scheduled for the 22nd. I've said the whole time I won't make it. But my Dr seems to think otherwise. He actually laughed at me after he checked my cervix, saying there's no way I'll go early. Emoticon 4951

You're nuts! No pain meds?!?! As long as I stayed on top of my pain meds...I was pretty good. Never had any crazy pain from the surgery. I'm actually glad to be sick now...because I have some time to get better before the birth...so I don't run into the same problem you did! 4951

Yeah. Normally I'd load up on theraflu and feel great! But no can do now! I'll survive. I've been doing spearmint tea with honey. But I try to not drink too much because I'll be up peeing all night! 4951

I was a single mom so no way to take the meds. I never would have heard the baby. My Dr was one for leaving the staples in for exactly a week so I did get stuck in the bed once. Once they took the staples out I was good to go. Stopped at the mall on the way home to grab some stuff I needed. I really hope at least your cough goes away bwcuz that was the worst. The rest was not bad. 4951

You're tough! They removed my staples before leaving the hospital. Hopefully they'll do the same at this hospital!
