Hi there, I just moved to Kingwood 2 weeks ago and I have to say, I already love it.I'm a little bummed out though. I called KSA the other day in hopes of getting a K sticker to find out I'm not eligible for one. Boo-hoo. I went to call them back immediately and never got through. I was going to ask if there was a way for me to purchase one. I love mountain biking and walking trails, so it'd be awesome to be able to use the parks!Anyone have any advice? Or am I just out of luck? Thanks so much. Hope everyone is well!-Aaron Ps- I live in the Lodge apartments. They aren't a part of the KSA. That's what I was told. 4951

Am I mistaken in thinking that you do NOT have to have a K sticker to use the trails and neighborhood parks? I know you do for the boat launch and all at River Grove but not just to bike a greenbelt to a neighborhood park correct?@metalaaron: Welcome to Kingwood!!  Emoticon

I know you need one to park your car in the parks or use your boat , but I thought anyone could use the trails , I'm sure they do not check each bike that is ridden through the parks or trails. 4951

Hey! Thanks for all of the replies!

Looks like we've got a nice bunch here.

I should've been more specific. I'd like to park and fish there as well as ride the trails.

That'd be really awesome if I could buy one! I'd pay $100 for it. I respect the rule and do not mind buying.

Good fishing spots?

Again, thanks! 4951

Hello and welcome! I'm afraid I mainly fish off the coast, so I'm not gonna be much help in that department, unless you wanna ride to Galveston with me? lol. I am glad you are liking it here so far Emoticon 4951

If you're into mountain biking, as opposed to just riding a mountain bike around, to the north about 25 minutes is Lake Houston Wilderness Park.  There are a fair amount of trails and dirt roads to ride on, and plenty of waterways to fish as well.  One could easily break down a fishing pole, put supplies in a backpack, or get a pannier for your bike, and ride to their fishing destination.  Another popular MTBing location is Huntsville State Park, off of I-45 north of The Woodlands.  Plenty of single track there for riders. In town East End Park, at the eastern extent of Kingwood Drive, has some trails that are pretty wide throughout, flat, crushed gravel.  This is a K sticker park, but just a couple hundred yards back up the road is Riverwood MS, and you can always park there (non-school hours obviously) and ride in to the park.  As always, when the weather starts to warm, watch out for snakes. 4951
