Need to get my car licensed here in Texas since I moved here from Kentucky.  Where is the closest DMV to Kingwood and what time of day should I try going to have the least possible wait time? 4951

First thing you should do is take the whole day off. Emoticon Seriously, there's one on Will Clayton just off of 59, but it's usually very busy all day. I have had good luck at the one on the map..Just get there first thing when they open! Good luck! Here's the link for locations...Welcome to Texas! Got to the super center in Spring- you can call to get a place in line and then zip over- takes about 45 minutes to get there. They'll text you when there's about 10 minutes left. It takes way less time. The last time I had to go to the DMV in Humble I stood in line for 3 hours!! 4951

I just went to the one in Humble and they were fast. This wasn't the first time I have been there and I have never waited longer than 15 minutes. I always make sure to go early though. This was for drivers license . 4951

@Croix: If you haven't already gotten your Texas DL, then be sure to bring every important piece of paper you have ever had in your life, including a blood sample.   LOL Just kidding, sort of.Do go on the website and get the list of things you need to bring.  (SS card, birth certificate, two bills with your new Texas address, and possibly a marriage certificate if you are a woman and changed her name and I'm sure more that I have forgotten.)
