in the truck..........Found out that out this morning when I had to get my bungee cords from under the back seat so I could keep some work equipment contained in the bed of the truck. When I lifted the back seat, both storage areas were almost filled with water. Fantabulous I tell ya.....The water is getting in through the seals on the back window. Lord knows how much that's gonna cost to replace..... 4951

I'd bring it back and ask for a different one. Musty odors don't go away easily once set in... 4951

@ProblemAgain: No warranty since it's used. I did get an extended warranty on it though..... Maybe that will cover? 4951

@ProblemAgain: The only warranty was a 3-day, 150 mile guarantee.

That's absurd to think a used vehicle has a manufacture warranty just because a dealer sold the vehicle. No "law" states that, and dealers aren't required to supply a "warranty".

Now a used vehicle might have original factory warranty left if it's still within mileage and inservice time.

Most aftermarket extended warranties aren't worth the paper their written on, and have a 30 or 45 day wait period before coverage actually begins.

Ford? Is it a slider back glass? Either way the back glass is bolted in and labor intensive. I would call presidential glass and have them reseal it. That's all a dealer would do anyway is call a glass company out to reseal.

I would believe more that it's the 3rd brake light assy that's leaking and not the back glass.

I would hop on the Ford forums for common problems. 4951

I had the same issue with one of my pickups, ended up being the 3rd brake light fixture on the roof  see if that seal is messed up before you spend $$$ 4951

What kind of truck?  My Ford F-150 was leaking around the light at the top of the cab.  Made a mess.  I took the cover over the light and added a bead of marine silicone and it solved the problem. 4951

@iCarr: i did not say a manufacturers warranty....many dealers sell cars and include a warranty. in some states, warranties are required of dealers selling cars. so it isn't too absurd. but thanks for the assumption and the information
