Forest Cove Residents BEWARE.....On January 29th our lives changed forever with the devastating loss of our house due to an electrical fire.  We lost everything including our precious beagle.  The house was destroyed but we were lucky enough to salvage the garage and a few smoke damaged/charred momentous.  The pain and emotional distress we felt due to this loss pales in comparison to the violation of privacy we are now dealing with.  This morning we went to check on the house only to find that overnight someone trespassed onto our property, held a party inside the remains of our house and then proceeded to break into the garage and steal what few items we had remaining.  I have always loved Kingwood and Forest Cove especially.  However, I am so hurt and appalled by the actions that one of our community members has done I am not sure if we can ever return.  We assume the criminals were teenagers as they littered our property with cheap beer cans, candy wrappers, drank alcohol from smoked damaged glasses and then decided to steal/destroy anything else reaming.  I can't fathom why someone would add insult to injury by doing this but obviously I don't think the way they do.  So, this is a cautionary tale to any adult living in Forest Cove, there are some individuals amongst us who prey on peoples misfortunes.  As we walk our neighborhood in quiet comfort look around and really pay attention to who lives near us.  Because until this happened I thought FC and Kingwood were a safe area with respectable individuals.  Now, I fear we have devils in disguise.  Because the individuals who did this may very well be the same sons, daughters, boyfriends and girlfriends that we hold so precious, applaud on M-F for being good students but when they are left to their own they purposely reek havoc on other peoples lives. Now besides dealing with everything else, we have to cancel credit cards, checking accounts, file police reports, etc.  All because some irresponsible individuals couldn't find somewhere better to party last night. 4951

@TCPOP:  Sorry that this happened to you and your family.  Forest Cove and Kingwood suffer the same kind of juvenile delinquents and morons as the rest of the country.  I know that this is still very fresh on your mind and I don't blame you for being bitter about it.  Time will help ease the memories and the bitterness, but won't totally eliminate them.  I wish you the best in your recovery. 4951

I am so sorry for your loss and for the disrespect that was piled on your burden. My teenagers are not in Forest Cove but I will keep my ears open in case they mention rumors of the party. My kids have just started the "awful teenager" phase and I don't see how parents and the community ever survive the actions of teenagers. I know I did some horrible things as a teenager but it feels a whole lot different now that I am an adult and I see/hear how people suffer from the actions of wild teenagers. 4951

Wow.  This is one of those teenager things I will be mentioning to my kids.  They are just 12 & 13 so I am able to know they had nothing to do with it.  However, I always try to tell them about such things so that they have it in their head how actions affect others.  So very sorry for what you've been through.   4951

So very sorry.  I fully understand how violated you must feel.  We have experienced many break ins in our community.  We all must be more aware of the "goings on" around our home and our neighbors.  Forest Cove is a great place to live with the large homes and yards and convenience to the front of Kingwood.  Don't let a few "thugs" ruin your outlook. 4951

@TCPOPI realize that this recent incident just added insult to injury...  And I truly feel for all of the loss, hurt, anger, stress, and emotional duress that you've endured... But, with all of the loss, and mentioned suffering, I am however very much glad to see that no one was injured in the fire, and that in itself is truly a blessing to be most grateful for.... Please do not let a few ignorant, immature, turd-burlars, pullin' a completely doucher move, represent the true goodness, and fellowship of the community... And please know that you're being thought, prayed for, and lifted up, even as I write this....   Best, and most blessed, wishes, to you and yours....  4951

So sorry to hear of the invasion into your life.

Having experienced both a fire and a burglary, I can only imagining the trauma associated with handling both simultaneously.

If only these people would realize the personal impact such has on an individual, they would come forward and offer to help.

We also live in Forest Cove and love the neighborhood as well the convenience to the highway.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do. 4951
