Not like I'm one to talk, but I do think trust exists. Maybe not 100% of the time, all of the time (does that make sense?), but it does in certain scenarios. Signed, Naive, trust everybody eejit 4951

I believe in trust. I think it's essential. But not everyone is trustworthy. 4951

@WskyTngoFxtrt: Agree.  So many lie even for just minor convenience now days.
Especially annoying when someone lies to you when they know that you already know the truth.  Totally insulting. Maybe they subscribe to the belief "If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it".  No, no they don't.  Well, not those of us with brains and eyes that are wide open.  I have one rule for those I'm close to "Don't lie to me, ever".  I never forgive it.  ANYTHING else I'll forgive, but not being made a fool of with an easily determined lie. 4951

I trust nobody. It works for me. But don't be me. (Insert Rob Lowe commercial here).

My personal motto on this comes from William Shakespeare:"Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none." 4951

I have very bad trust issues. I guess that stems from being hurt too many times by the people one would think you could trust the most. It seems that I always have my guard up, especially around new people. Kind of makes things difficult sometimes to connect with people when I'm alway looking for the first sign of something going wrong so I can bail first. Just find the people that are worthy of your trust and that you respect. Those tend to be the least likely to abuse it. I only mention respect because to me, they go hand in hand. Both are extremely hard, if damn near impossible, to get back once it's gone. I am sorry you are going through a hard time right now. Don't give up on the world. There are still decent people out there. 4951

Trust, like character, does exist but it's becoming less common. 4951

trust has always been a matter of debate. i doubt that it has gotten worse, rather that as our population has grown, we have marginal people who no longer act in a trustworthy fashion because they have other options that were not available when there were fewer people. that can go for business as well as personal relationships. but there are still LOTS of ethical, trustworthy people out there. try focusing on that instead of the negative before it starts sounding like a whine...have some cheese to go with that 4951

@WskyTngoFxtrtMy dear friend, I know that you are hurting, and I am ever so sorry, but please have faith in knowing that one day, the pain will diminish, and you will be happy beyond belief...  Healing takes time....

@WskyTngoFxtrt:  Instead of assuming, I will ask:  Are you referring to your divorce or something else?
