Gonna work on replacing some more fence boards. I have been slowly replacing my fence 15 or so feet at a time. I went to McCauly Lumber and bought the 3/4 inch treated boards. SOOOOO much better than the crap you get at the big box store. They dont warp, last a lot longer and are far far stronger. I have a BIG dog so that is important. Our new dryer is schedule to arrive today. Kind of pisses me of you spend 700 bux for a stupid dryer and it does not even come with an electrical hookup cord. Does not matter the brand they all come that way. To me thats like buyin' a car that doesn't come with wheels. I just finished my java and about to get started. I am gonna have a bumper crop of peaches this year. My two trees have hundreds on them already. Still green about quarter sized now.  4951

How much per board?  I need to do the same.  Are you nailing or using deck screws to put them up?  Thanks. 4951

@analogkid: $1.85 a board. Gonna need to make another trip soon if you want to go with me.
For nails I use 2.5 inch galvanized ring shank. They cost more but hold great! On the boards I use 3 horizontals instead of 2 and use 3 nails on each level per board, thats nine nails for each board. I check level on every 5th board and adjust as necessary. NO gaps, just but the boards together. After several months you will get a small gap the width of a penny due to shrinkage anyway. For my gates I use square drive decking screws, and white glue. My gates never sag and have held up for 20 years no problem. On gates I use 3 hinges instead of 2.  4951

@Ray: Thanks for that info.  I like the driving ability of a nail with the holding ability of a screw.  Still working out details with neighbors with regards to board replacement as, currently, the fence boards alternate sides facing out.
