I am looking for a good quality, men's wrist watch. I don't even wear watches myself, so I really have no clue on what to look for. Do y'all have any suggestions on something that will be nice, durable, and not cost me a fortune? 4951

Citizen Eco-Drive is nice.  Never really have to worry about a battery.  Maybe a capacitor change once in a lifetime.  Price ranges from about $250 and up... 4951

There is a brand. I'm sorry I can't think of the brand name but my ex had a thing about watches he owned several very nice ones. He bought them at that tiny little jewelry store in Deerbrook mall. It's located up stairs a store or two down from Cinnabon. Price range was $150-$250. I'll do an internet search and see if i can find the brand. They were very nice heavy masculine watches. 4951

first of all what does the guy do?  if he does things that would be rough or does a lot of outdoor activity that is different than an office  and couch potato....in this climate, sometimes it is more logical to get a divers watch because of the humidity. and what kind of a budget do you want to work with? 4951

@ProblemAgain:

It's for my DH, who is an corrections officer. I need something that can take a beating if, God forbid, he ever gets in an altercation with an inmate. I also need something that's water resistant since he is outdoors a lot in all types of weather. Budget wise, I don't really have one, but would prefer to keep it under 200. I also needs one that I can engrave on the back of it. Push comes to shove, I can buy one from my store, but I question their quality for his type of job. 4951

I'd buy him a transformers watch, but I don't think that sends the right impression in prison lol

That looks pretty close to what he had before, just a different color. Is it weather proof? 4951

I believe it was Citizen that my ex bought. Just looked up prices and they are more than I remembered. If it's in your prices range that little store had the best prices in their watches. They always came down a lot to make them affordable. 4951

My hubby is a watch junkie. In the $200 or less range he likes his Fossil. There is a store at the woodlands mall. 4951
