I haven't read the story, but my mind immediately went to "that's about the same number of cats they rounded up at King's Crossing."I know there is a human trafficking problem in Houston. We are actually a major hub because of our location where certain Interstates intersect. I have listened to some ladies in my church who work to rescue the women and children in those situations, talk passionately about helping those who are enslaved. But setting up a sting and arresting the Johns is only treating a symptom, and is really punishing the wrong people. I think that prostitution itself should not be a crime. I think circumstances vary. Human enslavement should always be considered a crime. But if a man and a woman want to have consensual sex with an exchange of cash or dinner and a movie, it is their business.Edited to say "two adults" rather than "man and woman."
@Mahm: right! You made me feel better. I think the drug rings and all the other crime they could be better served trying to locate those girls that need help not pick up 64 men on a sting. Its frustrating to me but wanted to make sure I'm all here with chemo lol
