If you are ever looking for a honest, reliable mechanic, DSL is awesome!  Both our cars died recently-they stayed open late for one to be towed to them.  The other car, they had fixed in less than a day.  They went above and beyond what was expected and charged a very fair price. They did extra work, used extra parts, and still came in under the estimate.  Oh, and my car was finally washed!! 4951

Great to know!  We just had a great experience with Sal's Auto, though we ended up dropping a lot of $ to get DH's  pickup back in shape. Good guys there - honest, worked late to get the work done and gave us a break on a couple of pieces. It's nice to know there are some good people around - especially hen it comes to auto work! 4951

I just take mine to the dealership. I don't drive vehicles after they are out of full warranty. 4951

@donnatella:

You should buy a vintage BMW so that you can take your car to my favorite mechanic and watch movies and drink Ritas while your car is serviced.

@Okiedokie: I keep seeing "DSL" and thinking of the alternate meaning. Lol. Sorry. You can take my mind out of the gutter, but you can't take the gutter out of my mind. 4951

@donnatella: Well good for you.  I have had my car for 20 years. My parents got it when i was a teenager.  It was one of the first cars I ever drove. I love it-it has low mileage and until it dies, I am going to drive it.  We got a used car a few years ago and plan on doing the same thing. Different strokes for different folks.

@txpolishgirl @ctl74 I will agree with Sal and Tim being nice guys that try to fix mistakes that cause a truck to be in the shop for now almost 5 months but I cannot attest to the quality of their work. I would use them for something simple but never again major work. I would also double check their diagnostic abilities.

AT transmission in porter I can however give a good review of. No problems with anything they have done. 4951

@Mahm:  That's a great idea.  Better customer service than any dealership in town. 4951
