@retired_engineer. What do you do at night when your nose is stuffed up?

I have been meaning to get a mask that covers my mouth too but haven't gotten around to forking over the $175 for the mask I want.

I use a CPAP and cold's are a bugger...Get a good decongestant that works well for you. If you don't mind you're heart going pitter patter get the "D" stuff with the old school stuff in it. I usually put vicks on my chest and throat and a little dab under my nose. A Nyquil doesn't hurt if it helps you get to lala land.  Hope these suggestions help.  4951

I use a CPAP (covers mouth & nose), and I like Mucinex DM. I get seasonal bronchitis and also have allergies, so it can get pretty tough to breathe sometimes, but the DM really works well to unstuff my nose & break up the congestion. 4951

I used to use a CPAP when I was over weight. Since I dropped 110 pounds my sleep apnea went away. But I used to use the full mask. Problem was I would take it off in my sleep. I would wake up and it would be on the floor. 4951

Thanks for the tips. some decongestant and codeine helped me fall asleep. I woke up a few hours later and had to repeat. But I did get some really good sleep.

Action usually let's me sleep through, bladder is another story, but I can usually breath through the night. Morning when the afrin fallout happens, that's another story. 4951

@foxymama: Sorry for the delayed response!  Since I use the nose pillows, the CPAP actually helps open my sinuses if I am not stuffed up too bad.  If I have to, I take one of the little red 4 hr Sudafeds and that helps me breathe.  I can't take more Sudafed because it will cause irregular heartbeats.I hope you're doing better!
