The latest images captured by NASA’s Dawn spacecraft of the dwarf planet Ceres continues to baffle scientists as the photos reveal another significant bright spot on its surface.The planet, which lies between Mars and Jupiter, has an average diameter of 590 miles and is the largest body in the main asteroid belt and is believed to contain a large amount of ice. 4951

I can't wait till the New Horizons spacecraft does its Pluto flyby later this year. Maybe then, a better meaurment of its diameter will get it relisted as a planet. 4951

@DVaz: Ceres is a dwarf planet, as is Pluto.  Eris is also a dwarf planet and bigger than Pluto.Pluto should have never been classified as a planet.  If they were to keep it a planet it would cause them to classify a bunch of other dwarf planets as actual planets.
