Good luck with the tat.

I'm just going to say it...there are many things to be frugal with, tattoos are not one of them. It's a life long commitment. Sincerely, hope your friend does you right. 4951

Be mindful of future employers. Today's boss might be ok with it but you have limited yourself to only long sleeved shirts where I am employed based on the no visible tattoo rule. 4951

@Annie: Great advice-I have 6 and no one can see them unless I want them to.

I know people will disagree with me and think I'm being rude. But since you started this thread and posted a picture, I'm assuming you're soliciting people's opinions. My opinion is that I just don't see how people think those tribal tattoos are good looking. That's a lot of dark ink spread out in a large area. 20 years from now it will be a dark, messy blob. 4951

@whskytngofxtrt I'm not a tribal tat fan either. I think it's one of those age and era things. Like the tramp stamp, it will be a thing of the past in the near future. 'Choose wisely' applies in this situation. 4951

@WskyTngoFxtrt: They also need to mean something to you.  I don;t get how the same tribal tattoo can mean something to so many people.

Interesting that you value yourself and your appearance at only $100 and not what a real professional would charge.   Seems if you were really wanting something you could be proud of you would want it done by a professional but since you are only concerned with price - well good luck to you. A wiser decision would be to go with a combination of quality and price (which equals value) and do it in smaller increments that you could afford, that way you could get something you could be proud of instead of a gargage version that won't hold it's quality.

@Stealth83:

I could never bring myself to get a tattoo, no matter how tasteful. I know how often I change my mind. I would, no doubt, regret it. I already have enough regrets. 4951

@Mahm: I have one I regret off and on.  I have come to decide it's not bad-it reminds me of my younger, wilder years.  I would love to get one more but am not sure I can b/c of the medicine I am on.

Why anyone would want to ruin a body that is already perfect is beyond me.I worked in Sales (Industrial Oil n Gas) most of my life and if you came in with that, you would not get hired even if you had an MBA.Heck buy you one of those nylon sleves that look like tats you can put on your arm. At least when you are done thinking you look cool, you can take it off and return your arm to its original perfection.But why stop at the arm? Be REALLY kewl and do your whole bodyYou put this on a public forum and wanted opinions. They won't all be positive. Mine certainly is not.This goes to a whole 'nuther level when women are involved.  4951
