Be careful using Med Spring Urgent Care on Kingwood Drive. I went there this morning for a swollen right eye, apparent allergy reaction. When the Doc calls in the script to the pharmacy she calls in a script for ear drops. When I call back to Med Spring to ask who to talk about a complaint, their response was go to yelp.com to file a complaint...WHAT?. So then I tell them perhaps a call to the State Board of Medical Examiners is in order, they respond. ok, bye... Their corporate office was a little more concerned about the matter... Someone at the Kingwood clinic is about to endure a significant emotional event. 4951

The last time I went there for my wife they seem sarcastic and not serious in caring for their patients. The front office lady is worse. 4951

Sorry to hear about the crappy experience. I've had good treatment at Kingwood urgent care so never tried any of the others. 4951

UPDATE: in fairness I wanted to post the update to this. I have just heard from the on call Medical Director for Med Spring. She was as appalled as we were at the way the whole issue was handled. She could not understand why an employee would encourage an upset consumer to go to social media and bash her employer. The prescription mix did not do a whole to impress her either and did not make excuses or attempt to downplay the possible consequences of such negligence. She is reversing all charges, not just the co pay, but anything sent to the insurance will be reversed as well. It was handled professionally. I can't knock the senior management. I did tell her she really needed to look at the Kingwood Clinic. I told her to go yelp and look at the comments. 4951

Their yelp reviews are horrible. We had been there 2 times and had received good service but I'll have to rethink about returnng there. 4951

When I attempted to establish the need for emergency services with Medspring I was met by a young female receptionist whom had the personality of a gob of glue , so I'm not surprised you had a similar circumstance with the balance of the staff.

I went elsewhere and then was overcharged 5k dollars by another crooked outfit associated with Kingwood Medical, First Choice Medical. Had two different family members with two different good insurances, not cover squat at First Choice Medical because they grossly overcharged.

FirstChoice Medical= Great Personality and @&*%#! It to you in the &$)(; crooks.

@myevilgrin: I went to one of those a couple weeks ago(sinus infection).  She took my blood pressure(which was fine), insurance info, and told me I had to go to an urgent care-she wouldn't treat me.  She wouldn't treat me-but she sure charged the insurance company like she had.  300,00 for a blood pressure check-really?  I didn't have to pay anything but am going to call the insurance and let them know what I think of that clinic.

They did their job - the cost is because they still had to staff in case you really did have an emergency.

@Stealth83: It was a CVS walk in clinic-not an ER.  No way would I have gone to the ER for a sinus infection
