My best friend is coming into town and her physcial therapist, who has a sibling living in the area, suggested this restaurant for their fish tacos. I've never been over to the area (outside of Costco) and we're looking to have good "girl time" window shopping and a lunch. If we do go over there, is there a specific shopping area I want to hit? I don't think we're thinking an indoor Mall outing. I'm already planning a couple of local dinners out with her and possibly heading down to the City area to meet up with a friend who has a salon down there. Any other suggestions? I'm kind of a tourist, too! 4951

Berryhill is very good. I used to go to the Galleria location when I worked out that way. There are also great restaurant in the Woodlands mall area. Brio is great and so is the Mexican. Restaurant near the valet parking dropoff. Can't remember the name right now, but it's near the main entrance. Good ritas good salsa and great fish tacos. 4951

Berryhill is very good.

The Berryhill that was in KW never made it...  Was not good so hope the one in the Woodlands is better.  Lot's of great places to eat in the Woodland's...  Goose's Acre, Grotto, Black Walnut Cafe, Fielding's, Buca di Beppo, La Trattoria Tuscano just to name a few...

The Black Walnut Cafe in Rice Village is fabulous. I want to change my vote to BWC. 4951

@tatertot58: I did not like the one in Pasadena either. It was bland and over-priced. Black Walnut Café is very good but that's where my wife & I had our first date so I'll probably never go back. 4951

I think we're going to go to Alma Latine one night for Mexican (since I like their outdoor patio) and then over to the restaurants on West Lake Houston (Kingwood Landing or something?)... I'm going to write down all of these other recommendations, though. Thank you! Are the outdoor shops (and the theater) in the area of these eateries? I ask bc I am not sure how to get to that particular location but I can Google map it based on a restaurant. Also, with my friend being a vegetarian, I'm looking for a place(s) that she will really enjoy. As this is a treat for both of us to not be at home with kids all weekend! 4951

We used to go there when we went shopping in The Woodlands. Food and service was always great! I don't go there anymore due to the traffic hassle. 4951

@doddlebug:  The traffic might be slow but if you valet park, you don't have to worry about the parking headaches.   Money well spent!! 4951

Fantastic fish tacos. Pretty much everything is good there. There is one near Lakewood Church too that we usually go to because the woodlands traffic blows goats. 4951

I suggest Cheesecake Factory or Tommy Bahamas - both have excellent food and offer small plates to choose from.  Check out the menus on line. 4951

@thetarget9: So is goat blowing traffic worse than donkey blowing?  Just trying to make sure I understand the scale.

The one in the Heights is always excellent.  Any other I'd been to wasn't so great.  Seafood Burrito=best thing on the menu.
I didn't know there was one in the Woodlands.  Try it and tell us how it was. 4951
