So we shall see how helpful their, "Where's my Tech?' tool is.   Had a couple attempted break-ins right near us yesterday (Oakhurst) so I figured I'd better get the phone line working with the alarm system. 4951

They going to tie it to your hard line or put in a cell dialer?  They upgraded our system a couple of years ago so there's no dependency on the land line.  The cell is part of the system so it has our address and all of that. 4951

We didn't need a phone when we had suddenlink security. I thought it automatically linked to your address and whatever phone number you have?
We did move over to ATT security though about a year ago. 4951

@Murf: Yeah, can't speak to that. We have suddenlink for all of it.

This tech stuff is frustrating.  I bought a new surfboard extreme to go with my new blast internet service.  I bought it a few months ago and never connected it, mainly because its a hassle to call comcast and wait and wait.  Today I call comcast to connect it and its already a registered modum for someone else, even though it shows inactive.  Apparently the modem didn't work right, the previous customer returned it, Walmart restocked it instead of sent it back.  I bought it.  UGGH!  Now I have to return it and I don't have the receipt!  Comcast refused to connect it for me since its a registered to another customer, I guess it wouldn't do any good since it didn't work for him.   Off to walmart!   I hate walmart.  I go maybe 1-3 times a year. I don't have anyone to blame but myself. :-( 4951
