I really hope this doesn't last too much longer. It's like she doesn't get it. Emoticon We have worked on it a few times..But she "misses". I then decide it's just better to do it myself. However, I am worried about her going to kindergarten next fall with a wiping issue. Emoticon  4951

There are grown men with wiping issues.  I've NEVER understood that one. 4951

@Donnatella: Look. Your favorite. Bathroom topics!

Our issue around that age was the overuse of toilet paper and then the inevitable plunger-fun would ensue.

I would instruct them to flush before wiping, then wipe 2-3 times with a certain amount of tp, then flush. Then wipe with one flushable wipe. Then once more with paper. Then flush. That solved most of our problems, but not all. The rest would be oversharing. Lol.

Who here uses the Cottonelle wipes? I swear by them and don't feel clean without them. Toilet paper alone just doesn't compare. 4951

@Mahm: As much as I hate all things potty talk in public, this one was less in your face (no pun intended) and and parents could get some much needed advice.

I know, I know...I can talk all day every day about all things sex, but still cringle at various crass forms of potty talk. I get it....very hypocritical, but one is sexy and the other is just gross and that's how I make the distinction in my mind.  4951

As a former preschool teacher...I have wiped many many booties. What worked best for me was to be there as a director. They knew how...they just needed some guidance. I'd let them know if they needed to wipe more and where. If things were really out of control, wet wipes were used. Once they physically felt what it was like to be clean vs. dirty...they got much better. Sometimes they need to have a bit of an itchy booty to figure out how to clean their self. 4951

My DS would do that too! One time we were downstairs in the living room and he was upstairs. He backed up to the balcony railing over the living room spread his cheeks and asked, "am I clean?" One of my fond memories of my sweet children.

@WskyTngoFxtrt: Good to know you have a clean tush!  Seriously though, Charmin is another good brand, actually my favorite, and yes, they are a must. 4951

@BBQguy:

I used to buy the Scott brand, which said "septic safe" but I can't find them anymore. I thought that would be the best bet after getting post it notes attached to our water bill (everyone got them) saying not to use "disposable" wipes in our plumbing system. Well, since they used the word disposable (like baby wipes) I still assume "flushable" wipes are okay. Emoticon I mean, have you ever tried to add water to one that is unused but dried out? They totally disintegrate. 4951

I've seen more spread cheeks than I ever cared to. But one of my favorite memories from teaching was when one of my little hillbilly girls said "Miss Tara, my bottom's itchin!" in her cutest southern accent. LOL! 4951

I still tend to use too much tp.  I guess it's a carryover from the time the tp tore and one finger went too far!  Emoticon 4951

...My hubbs still mentions to this very day that he doesn't understand why it takes me half the dang roll of tp to wipe.... ...It's cool, though....  He's used to my methods!Side Note:...When our lil' Scottish Warrior, William Wallace, has gotten a lil' piece of pooh on his backside that he wasn't able to "Shake it off, Taylor Swift style," he simply remains where he's standing, wherever he is, literally shaking, whining, and barking, until mom comes to the rescue and removes the dangling dingle-berry nuisance....      ...Hey, man, shizzle happens!
