Well as a kid we used to raise chickens (mostly for eggs, but I did have to butcher a few now and again) and occasionally you would get an egg with poop on it. And there was not any in the nesting area where it was laid, and it was not in the shape or smeared like they stepped in it and used their feet to move the egg.We would just wash it off, besides the shell is designed to protect the contents from things such as that.And if you never had fresh eggs right from a truly free range chicken, you are truly missing something.
@FoFa: That's the way it was for me too FoFa. I remember as a little boy wondering how an egg was laid so one day I decided to find out. I waited for what seemed like forever but eventually she cackled, stood up and I was actually able to see the egg come out. Poop happens... but it's just on the shell, no big deal. If we had to **** a bowling ball, I'm sure we would poop a little too. :-)
