Have you checked the gizmet converter diode?  If that's not the problem, try reversing the polarity of the neutron flow.

I have 3 dead laptops sitting on a table and a couple of desktops...nothing was backed up on them. Even if I were to offer any type of advice, I wouldn't take it. 4951

@MTechnique: Can you wipe one for us? We're not totally sure what's on it, but we don't need it..Or want someone else to get anything useful off of it.

Smash it with a hammer, then throw the pieces in the trash.  Nobody will recover data from it. 4951

@BooBear: you might be able to clean those with malwarebytes. you can install malwarebytes on a flash drive using your good computer and then boot the  diseased computer, plug the flashdrive in and run the program to clean the malware.here is the site and the program at the top of the page is the free version that will do the job. download and install it to a flash and consider it a trip to the free clinichttps://www.malwarebytes.org/products/

Thanks to all for great info.  In the meantime, hubby, Brutus, snatched up my computer and took it to Kingwood PC Repair in Town Center.  Will let you know how that went.  4951
